I swear, I fix an issue with this car and another one pops up
I went for lunch during work, key turned to start the car fine. Came out to go back, wouldn't turn until I locked the wheel and unlocked it. I got it to start and I got it back to work, then took the key out, put it back in, and it started just fine.

I went out for my last break of the night, and it was doing the same thing. I didn't feel like messing with it then, so I just left it.

Hopefully I can get it to start when I leave tonight. My thought is it could be the ignition cylinder. Any counter ideas? Or any good how-to's on replacing the cylinder?

2006 Explorer XLT, with the 4.6 L V8

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure that would be the ignition cylinder, if you replace it I think you have to get new Keys also but I'm not sure on that one, there are lots of tutorials on YouTube for how to replace it though, you might be able to go to a locksmith and get them to key the ignition lock to match your already existing keys

You can buy a new cylinder and rekey it yourself to fit the old key. About $70. Here a dealer gets $575.
