Keyless entry code? i know for my '10 there is no code anywhere. They can look it up. . . .However with mine even after getting the code from the Ford Database (not the truck computer) it was wrong. They where about to hook it up the the diag computer to pull it from the truck when some genius tried a couple of combinations with the original code. Sure enough the first two digits where transposed in the Ford Database.

how much did they charge you to find the key code?

i had just bought the truck, so it was free. Seemed like the service writer could look it up, i don't see how they can charge you. If they have to pull it in, it might be a different story. . .

Just a note the computer had it wrong, somehow the numbers got transposed in the system. So if you get it and it doesn't work you might have to experiment. I think the first two digits where flipped.

The code is on the radio receiver box on the passenger side behind the body panel in the foot-well, right side. You have to get up under there pretty well with a flashlight. But you will see a black box in there with a number on it. That will be your electronic lock code.

do you mean under the glove box or do you mean behind the panel that covers the fuel reset switch? I don't see what your talking about.

Behind the panel that covers the fuel reset switch. So looking down at your feet from the passenger seat - right foot, that side panel down there comes off. Tucked up behind that panel and up under the dash is a black box with a sticker on it. That is the code. I also found this too...

Where the code can be found

This code is located on the owner's wallet card in the glove box
Is available from your authorized dealer via scan code
Is marked on the computer module
Computer Module location

1995 thru 2001 is located in the jack storage compartment in the rear of your Explorer. First remove the panel to the jack storage compartment. Towards the front of this area you should see a metal box this is your auto-lock module(way up front next to your rear left passenger seat). On the back side of this is your 5 digit code factory preset code. It is hard to get to. To see it you will have to loosen, pull, use a flashlight or a mirror but it can be done.
2002 thru 2007 is in the right panel behind the middle row window. It is below the seat belt mechanism. You have to pull out the top plastic panel off, then loosen the lower panel to be able to see the face of the computer module. The code is on a sticker on the face of the module.

Yup that is what I figured you meant. I pulled that entire panel off and looked behind it and up under the dash. My assumption is it is in a magical place hidden by mystical creatures. lol I have looked high and low but tomorrow is another day and I will be panel diving tomorrow.

Try this and you will get your code within 20 minutes without leaving the house or paying anyone:

This worked for me. When I got my 06 I came here to figure out where to find the code, and ended up using this.

I started from the bottom since with my luck it would be no where towards the top, and about 8 rows in i got it.

TIP- Get a buddy to read you the numbers and it goes much faster. Enter the whole line between locking and unlocking. Somewhere in that line you will hear it unlock. Then simply start re-entering the numbers 5 at a time untill you get it.

Oh, write it down too.

Anyone know where the door code can be found on a 2008 Explorer?

I tried this and came up with one code that does not appear on this list. I must have fat fingered it in. But I did write it down.

Also my keyless entry pad lights don't light or flash when I exceed the 35 character and it goes into anti-scan mode.
