keyless entry and a/c

I have a 2000 mountaineer and I cannot get the truck to go into programming modes for keyless remotes. The keypad works and the red theft light blinks. Could it be a problen with the rap module in the back? Also whenever i'm running the A/C and I accelerate the air goes from blowing out of the vent to blowing out of the defrost on the dash and then goes back when I let off the gas or slow down. Anybody ever heard of this. It has the electronic auto heater controls with the wheel fan control and I've already replaced that unit. Please help

The A/C issue is a vacuum leak, possibly in the air flow control actuator.

Thanks, I also had to tie closed my recirculate/fresh air door because the vacuum wasn't strong enough to do it.
