Keyless entry questions

Hey everybody! I'm new here and am looking at buying an '01 explorer sport from an individual. She said that it doesn't have keyless entry, but I think she just doesn't have the remotes anymore. There is a keypad on the driver's door. I just did a search and read some of y'alls posts on this topic and found the instructions on how to program new remotes, sounds easy.

I was just hoping someone could confirm that this sport has the keyless remote controller in it?! Since it has the keypad.

I already own a '05 f-150 and have been around fords almost all my life with my parents vehicles. Me and my wife were looking at this one for her.

I believe that the truck should have remote entry if it has the keypad on the door. I'm sure someone else will come by soon and either confirm/correct that statement...

Try the programming sequence and see if the doors locks lock and unlock indicating it is ready to be programmed by the remotes. If that works I would say you can use the remote FOBS.

If it has door pads, it has the RKE as well. You'll need to purchase a couple remotes (www.ebay.com) and program them per the instructions in your owner's manual.
