Hello, I really hope someone can help me out with this, my auto theft light is on and I can't start my car, I have been researching for days now, and one person to us the keypad to reset it, I tries doing that but noticed the keypad isn't working, would what do I do now? I have 2001 Explorer.

New member here with a keypad related issue (1995 Ford Explorer XLT)... key fob will no longer lock/unlock. We are inserting the key - so very old fashioned! Thought this was a simple fix to replace the key fob battery. Turns out at the same time THE KEYPAD IS NO LONGER LIT and non-responsive. Checked all related fuses ("anti-theft" etc. but stopped short with the relays since I can't tell if any with "anti-theft" are faulty on my own. Big assumption that "anti-theft" has something to do with it but its the only thing I can think of since the other fuses name assignments don't seem to relate to anything to do with locking/unlocking or keypad etc. No unusual dashboard indicators or warnings. This '95 Explorer has only about 120k miles and in GREAT shape, was babied by the original owner (my Dad). Any ideas out there?
