Keys and keyless Entry

Hi all, Does anyone know, or can I tell if my 2000 North Face has a transponder key or can I just buy a replacement from ebay, also can I get an ebay remote and program it myself or does it have to go to the Ford dealer ?

Unless someone has altered it then you should have the PATS system with the chipped key. If you have two keys you can programme a third your self. If not then it's off to the dealer you go. Remotes you can do yourself and they will be the two or three button type.
