Kick panels? Eh another idea

I don't know about you but kick panels wouldn't survive one day of driving with me, any of you ever thought about mounting components in the roof above the seats? component speakers arent that deep and you could run the wire through the dash trim, 3 1/2's or 4"s playing right above me sounds good Oh well just another idea

Heh heh, that'd be like going to a concert and lying on the floor with your head facing the stage. Hey, come to think of it, I spent a few concerts like that .

That's a cool idea. In the JC Whitney catalog, and I think in some Jeep catalogs, they have something like that, a plastic thing that mounts across the front area on the roof and holds some 4"s I think. Otherwise, maybe you could just stick with regular coaxials in the doors, and add some tweeters to the roof, to add "space" to the music. My friend has an older Acura that has this option in the car to help bring the music "up" rather than at his feet or knees.
