So I've been looking at getting a KKM Intake kit, but I have a few questions before i buy it. Now I may be a body man, but I have no idea on most things on an engine beside basics and stuff like that.
I have searched alot but I'm not finding the answers I'm trying to find.
I have a 1992 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 2wd
I was wondering exactly what is included in the kit (since most people have them for a 1st generation Explorer), because from what I've heard I could build my own, and its practically the same thing without the KKM name.
I havn't seen any true CAI kits for the 1st Gen's anywhere because I'd rather have done that.
Also I wanted to know since it will be drawing from inside the engine bay, will it be sucking high heat air or will it still be cool? I read a thread about how a guy was tuning and saw that an open element intake sucked in alot of hot air.
Please tell me yall have answers lol. I really need to do something about my broken air box, before i really pull in dirty air...
