I just installed my KKM and put on the conical air filter and plugged the vacuum line that goes to the intake manifold. Well, I disconnected the negative terminal on the battery and reconnected it about an hour later and started it up. My only problem is that it takes me about 20 seconds to climb up to 50 mph. At high rpm it hesitates like crazy as if it were not getting ENOUGH airflow. What the hell is going on? If this cannot be fixed I guess I wil have to throw the stock airbox back on.

did you let it idle on its own for 10 minutes after you started it back up? and did you then drive it at slow speeds/ throttle position? and gradually went to wot? if you didnt? the computer relearned itself the wrong things... and thus is your problem....

Let it idle for 10 minutes you say? Maybe my problem. I also tried to punch it about 30 feet down the road. I will have to try your way and see what happens. Thanks.

Ok I tried it your way and all that did was make the check engine light come on. I tried taking the plug out of the vacuum line and that made it run better. When I keep it in park and rev it up its fine but if I am driving and floor it, something clicks; what could be causing this? I put the stock airbox back on and it runs fine. If you guys cant come up with anything guess the stock airbox will will have to stay on:(

well i duno

when i had mine it was a little weird at sometimes too,. Check your sensors and look for any air leaks, A small air leak and rob you of lots of power and cause it to run like crap. It happened to me once.

snocross, did you find the fix for this KKM problem? I just ordered mine and I came accross this thread. This is the only problem thread with installing the KKM.
