How well does the product work?? Did anyone see a change in Gas Milage?? Any performance increases??

Re horsepower gain, I'm not sure if anyone has done a pre/post dyno run with the KKM, but Aldive is looking for suggestions for his dyno run...

I DEFINITELY cannot speak regarding mileage, as nothing i do can get me out of my 10mpg RUT!!! Generally, with performance upgrades, the thrill & leadfootedness of the "newly found performance" truly outweighs ANY mileage gains, so don't be suprised if you LOSE mileage due to this fact of Explorer life!

Well if you have a 1st gen, KKM is really your only option. You can't get an open-element K&N for a first gen. Unless you'd want to make one yourself, but most people don't bother.

I made mine myself. Took about 10 mins and cost me nothing but the filter (~20 bucks) Then again at that time I worked in a shop that did a lot of exhuast. A freind has the KKM and it is a good product.

Not a scam

Hey all,
I ordered my KKM Filter on monday and it was here on friday. Took 4 buisness days to be delivered.I recieved the one with the chrome end cap. Installation was very simple one you get the dam stock air filter container out. Just pay close attenion to the instructions. I almost screwed up b/c i dont follow instructions to well. Duh on my part. well I have to wait until tomorrow to see if anything has change ie..more torque or power. Funny thing though now when I hit the gas after installing the filter i hear a sucking noise from under the hood. I thik it's tha air being sucked into the filter..Sounds cool though anyway goodluck.
