:us: I have ordered a KKM Induction Kit and intend to install it on my '93 XLT Explorer this week, so I thought those of you who have it installed could answer some questions for me.

Has anyone noticed a increased tendency to overheat in the summer? I didn't know if the new location of air intake is really a factor.

Does anyone have any installation tips? (I've read the review on this site, and it looks pretty simple--just wondered.)

Cheers!

No overheat problems here in the sunshine state. No problems at all; only positive things to say about it.

Good luck....

Leave the heat riser in place. there is no need to take it out like the instructions say. You might need to use it later for inspection time. I only drilled one hole for the support bracket. I used the hole for the stock air box screw for the other bracket.

It goes really easy. I did mine on my lunch hour without any problems. I still had plenty of time to take it out for a test drive to try it out.

KKM INSTALLED

Thanks for your comments. I called the guys at KKM on Monday and had the kit Wednesday at noon. I just finished installation and cruising around the block.

I was blown away how easy this installation was. The suggestions on this site were dead on, and I finished in about 25 minutes.

Thanks 4x4central and KKM.
