Ok, so I haven't posted anything in a long time and this is probably not the best way of coming back, but here goes...I NEED knowledge...I need books and anything that any of you gearheads have found useful in your experience with engines, modifications and to put it bluntly, making cars go a lot faster. I would like to learn more about supercharging and turbocharging; I would like to learn about engines and engine types; I would especially like to learn about the proper ways to drive a manual transmission in a racing situation(what to do, what not to do to get the most acceleration for your effort); I need books, I need some suggestions on books. I have about $200 that I have set aside to purchase numerous books so that when I get my new Mustang GT next year, I can start in on modifications (swapping in a 351 C.I.D.) with a lot more than just the average "car-guy's" knowledge. I need and want the techincal know-how to do these types of things and as I said before, I would also be EXTREMELY interested in learning how to properly drive a manual transmission in a drag racing 1/4 mile situation. I welcome any and all suggestions as to books, etc that will help a acceleration craving motorhead attain his knowledge. Let the suggestions begin...
