KOER test set up question

I keep getting a 536 "Brake On Off open or shorted to ground - BOO" when running this test, so I double checked Mr shorty's instructions. HMMM?
In step 4 it says:
"Immediately after engine ID is output, press brake so computer can test BOO switch.
So do you press and release the brake, or press and hold the brake?

I might have been hitting the brake too late. I was actually waiting for it to blink at me. I thought it was doing that to tell me when to do the brake/steering wheel thing.
I'll re try and do it immediately after the engine size code.
 






I rarely get that timed right. So I don't bother with it.. That way when I read the codes, and I see that one, I know I'm reading/translating them right.
