I went to a local Tire shop and they had some Kumho Road Venture ATs for about $120 a tire and I was wondering if any one in here knows any thing about them or has used them.

Here is a link and picture for more info...

When I looked at em in person the tread seemed more spread out like this

I have them 285/85/16 (33's) and have put just about 50,000 kms on them with no problems. This is their last winter as the tread is getting a little shallow.

How well do they do offroad? Do they really ride well on pavement? And how is the tread wear? would you recomend them?

Sorry for the 20 questions game lol I am really thinking about going with them but want to make sure they are ganna be a good tire.

Tread wear has been good and road manners are also good ,I have run them three winters now in northwestern British Columbia on snow ice and lots of water. They shed snow and water well but are a little hard for ice.On dry pavement the ride is good and road noise is fine.Off Road they have worked well for an all terrain tire and have yet to be flattened driving on rough sharp rock that frequents the area.I would say good value for the money but I have been told the BFG's will wear a little longer.

hmm ok thanks for the imput :D

I am running these tires as well. I have them in 31/1050/R15. I haven't done any hardcore wheeling since I got them, but I have done some moderate mudding and some snow and ice driving and they seem to perform pretty well. I got mine for around $105 a tire though.

hmmm...who did you buy them from? I think I might keep looking around see if i cant find a lower price maby. I like the tread design they look like they would do well.

I got mine from Treadepot about 6 months ago or so, when they were offering free shipping on almost everything. They currently have 31's for $101 a tire. I don't know about shipping though. May be cheaper to get them from a local retailer.

Well after looking at that site where you got your tire at, I will be paying about the same price. The guy quoted me $525 installed and after every thing added up the total for the ones of treaddepot it came out to $521. Lol they are cheeper but after tax and postal it adds back up. I think I would rather just go in and pay the extra 4 bucks :D Thanks for the link though I looked around at diffrent tires and i think i will still end up with the Kumhos.
