I don't mean to throw cold water on it...but...use the filter that is recommended. I have seen more problems from people interchanging filters..just because they screw on and the gasket is in the right place does not mean the guts are the same or the pressure capacity or anything else....usually a problem with bigger machinery...
Ok some times it is an easy long short switch..but be careful..filters are spec'd out for each application.
