I've tried searching but i cannot find what the leaf springs codes corellate to as far as stiffness. Im doing an SOA on my truck and i want the softest springs i can find but i can't seem to figure out what code means what. I'm thinking code L is the softest but im not sure.

Call Ford, that's your best bet.

I used the L springs from a '91 when I did my SOA and they seem to be really soft. In fact I think they are too soft, but that is my personal opinion.

If you do find out what the codes stand for please post the info here.

I have a 97 so i want something soft. I only have ~3" of lift up front and if i can manage to get 4 or so inches out of the back i would be happy, though if it ends up being 6" i can deal... i just have a bit of a pitch. :)

ive heard from somewhere (probably here) that the F code is the stiffest other than that i have no idea

I was just on a website looking for leafs for my 97'. the discription they gave me was code W had 3 leafs, code F had 4 leafs, code L had one leaf, and code H was out of stock so there was no discription.
