I'm going to the junk yard saturday to find a set of four door leaf springs. I have already searched and I know all about the spring codes and I know I want the stiffest; f code. However, I'm not totally sure on what constitutes a good versus bad/worn spring. I know there should be a continual arch throughout the main leaf and the ends should not be bent up/sagged near the bolt holes.
Should all the leaves be in direct contact with each other along the whole spring surface, including at the ends of the secondary leaves? Is there anything else I should look for when purchasing leaf springs?
Thanks
