Looking for someone in the North Shore Oahu area to help! Car overheats and leaks almost all water, but it seems to come from the coolant intake, possibly a gasket? The odd thing is that it did this and then now it is fine, with no overheating or leaking. Even though she is now behaving, I am very worried about driving it long distances or on the Highway, nuthin worse than being a chick stuck along the highway at night! I think i need a pressure test done, possibly that could determine the problem? The only problem is that the one shop up here wants at least $600 to fix it, and that's without the pressure test even being done. Can anyone help?

Aloha from HI!

When you say it comes from the coolant intake, do you mean the radiator cap? If so, how old is the cap? If you have never replaced it, then you might want to. Does your coolant overflow tank fill up when it does this? There is a guy that lives over in Kaneohe, maybe he can help. His screen name is Ohe boy. Below is a link to the members list with his name. Drop him a line, maybe he will help. ;)
