Could be anything - coolant, motor oil, brake fluid, oil that leaked out of a blown shock.

If it's coolant you should be able to tell by the smell.

I think I can rule out the shock. Since they are fairly new. I'll try and check if it smells like coolant today. Thanks for the response.

maybe check your fluid levels... especially the rad and overflow tank... :-)

i did check fluids. coolant was low which is why i had suspected it.....and where would th overflow tank be?

Overflow tank is right by the washer fluid reservoir. That is a nice looking skid plate too.

Coolant will leave dried green residue nearby, but you can dab your finger to it and taste it. That little bit won't hurt you. Coolant tastes sweet, have your cold drink ready to wash the taste out of your mouth afterwards. When looking for oil leaks, look for a clean oily surface. That means that that is where the freshest oil is at and that is where your oil is coming from.

Also could be power stearing fluid if that small cooler has a leak whatever it is its thin or under pressure cause its splatterin its way towards the back real good

Looks just like my 96. Seeping seal at the power steering rack.

Yea rack was my other guess also need more picks and if poss without the skidplate in the way

Check the axle seal, where the half-shaft comes out of the front axle tube...they are known to seep there a bit.
