So I was taking my wheel off today to do my spark plugs and wires and of course nothing can be simple, so a bolt broke off with the lug. Can I fix this myself?? Is it really hard? what parts do i need/ are they very expensive? I'm so annoyed right now:( heres a pic just to show what im talking about and please help! Thanks

you should be able to replace the lug for about 5.00. Just knock that one out with a punch and draw the new one up with the lug nut and a stack of washers.

You can replace the wheel studs separately, only costs like $3.

I am 4WD and how do I replace the stud? Can I get it at any parts store like pepboys? Thanks.

I just looked on pepboys website and it says that I need to take the calipers and disk brake off. Is this true? I am not the most mechanically inclined but can do some pretty basic stuff. I just don't want to mess this up more than it is. I don't even know how to take the brakes off lol.

Hmm
If you don't get the parts back in place correctly, or tightened enough-it could be very unsafe. If you aren't experienced with brakes, can you find a friend who is?

If not, I would take this in for a repair.

hmm yea maybe I should ask around. The brakes seem like something you want to always be working lol. If I brought the truck in to get it fixed any idea how much it would cost? Im thinking since its pretty simple to just head over to pepboys or something. :dunno:

picked up the stud today at pepboys for 2.09 and me and a buddy did the entire thing in about an hour and everything seems to be great. Thanks for the help everyone.
