So I had a pretty bad drive axle accident a while ago causing me to replace my right drive axle and the outer seal that was leaking like crazy. Now that I did that I noticed that the inside is leaking. Its coming off where the axle housing is connecting to the differential. We took it all apart because I thought there was an inner seal there but there's nothing and I have no idea why it might still be leaking. Any help?
Heres a very amateur and quick sketch of whats going on. The green represent where the oil is leaking out and how it's gathering at the bottom of the differential. The shaft is the axle housing.

This is the front axle so its like youre looking at it from behind

also seems to be making a humming noise when I accelerate but I wasnt sure if that was from low oil or something else.

if it is leaking from where you have it marked in green and it is not the diff cover leaking you have big problems because there is no seam there that part from what i can see doesnt come apart and you might have a crack/hole some where and might need a new diff

old thread but mine leaks at the same spot... VERY small amount i have brand new seals both side new bearing on the driver side new axles everything.. still leaks i just make sure the oil is up nd keep checking.. im baffled as well
