Hi everyone. I just bought a used 04 Sport Trac last week and absolutely love it. I've added just a few cosmetic items thus far but have a slightly harder project that I need help with. I ordered a LED light bar from Cabelas http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0046187523071a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&No=20&noImage=0&Ntt=led&Ntk=Products&QueryText=led&Ntx=matchall&N=4887&Nty=1 and need some help installing it.

It does have a standard 4 flat but for some reason, it will only work as running lights when plugged in. Therefore I want to hardwire them in to get the full effect. I can probably figure out which lights go to where as far as right turn/brake, left turn/brake, running and reverse. The problem is it is also asking me to hardwire a constant 12v. Where would the easiest place to wire this into?

Also does anyone have a schematic for the brake housing? This would also greatly help me out. If not, to make my life easier, does anyone know what wires lead to where for the running/break-turn lights and reverse light?

Ok. I did a little researching. I do have a 12v power point in my Sport Trac bed. I should be able to get constant 12v from there if I splice into it. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Furthermore, should I add an inline fuse?

Yes you can splice into that. But to confirm it, get a voltmeter and do some tests.

Thank you very much. I will be sure to check that.

make sure to check the fuses as well....when i installed my line of fire..it didn't work properly. Had a few burned fuses.

I tied everything in this past Thursday. Everything seems to be running good. Even though it was probably over kill; I did put in a in line fuse that was connected to the 12v power source. So far, so good.

How about some pictures ???
