led light bar

Which length did you get ? I measured my "EX"
and the 53" made for the "Hummer" will fit nicely.

Just as the 49" will, but with a little gap.

How about those pictures ???

Ah, that's not too bad. Thanks for the pic, nice to see how it would actually look.

no problem.. sorry it took so long

buckshot, what brandname is that bar? pretty bright, i really wish i wouldnt have gotten the cheap brand lol

Its a Recon - I got it off ebay for 39 shipped

Well i also installed my led light bar. I ordered the one from jcwhitney, it was the garage-pro brand. They did however send me an APC branded one but its the same thing so no problem.

Here is some pics with my crappy cam.

I just have it wired as a brake light i think it looks cool pretty bright too.

looks good

o i like i said i wired mine as JUST a running light, anyone else who does that, if u take the brake like wire and and splice the running and brake wires together, the led bar will be brighter, just an idea for those who want just a running light

well i got a new one. cheaper one from stylin concepts, looks like a good bar, i like the looks of it better than the JCW one, looks higher quality. i just got it today (first time ordering from stylin, got it a day earlier than i should! ) ill get it on asap over the weekend. i think ill wire it as a running light/ brake light, no turn signals post pics when i can

Just curious... why are you guys only using them as brake and running lights? I think that it looks pretty sharp as a turn signal too.

EDIT: buckshot, looks sharp. Having that surface there to mount it would have been nice on the '05 -- I had to mount it on a curved surface, so I had to flex the thing a bit to get it to fit.

anyone with pics of this on an 02-05?
would like this on my 04

2 reasons (for me)

1. i do like them as turn signals too, but i dont like that fact that if your 4-ways are on then the whole bar flashes.

2. dont have 4-way trailer plug (that works right, damn cheaply made tail-light converts - i have went thru 2 of them). so i really cant run them as turn signals.

Look at BP1506's picture. He's got a '98, but it looks like he mounted it the same way that I did on the '05 -- under the tailgate on the bumper.

On that note, though, I'm considering relocating the bar to the hatch itself, and running the wires through a small hole in the tailgate (drill hole, run wires, seal hole with the mounting tape), and painting the bar silver to match the X.

thats some big nutz

I also thought about putting it on the tailgate, but I was kinda lazy so i just did it the easier way. It would probably look better if mounted on the gate.

Ranger,

Is that extra backup lamp just wired into one of the reverse lamps, or do you have that on a switch up front?
