First off Bill I am wondering what are the specs on your ported box for your w7.

Second Leenjen what would be better for a 12" W7 a ported box or a sealed for the loudest bass I can have. And what should be the specs on the ported box?

a ported enclosure will boost the bass at the tuned frequency. so if you wan tthe most bass, go ported. and check the JL website for box specs. i'm sure they have it listed. if you post the T/S parameters, i can figure out the enclosure size.
