I tell ya, when one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong  I noticed yesterday that my left speakers, both front and rear, are playing music very softly while the right speakers are working just fine. I just got done checking the integrity of the wires, and both runs are in good condition. It turns out I had some speakers swapped on my amp, but even after rectifying that, the two left speakers are still playing music softly, no matter what the volume level. Any thoughts as to whats going on? This has never happened before and if I don't have any grounds, which I still need to check in the door panels, then what could be the culprit? Thanks guys.

i had that problem with my old explorer i found it to be a short in the wire so basically you have to run all new wire from the deck straight to the speakers or at least thats what i did and that fixed the problem

i know its a dumb question, but sometimes overlooked. have you checked the balance adjustment?

The only issue with that is I bought the amp to run my mids/highs, so if I run my speakers through my HU, the amp becomes a paperweight. Also, as a side note to anyone viewing, the amp is literally like 2 months old, so chances are the amp is not the issue. At least it better not be...

Yeah, that was one of the first things I checked out was the Fade/Balance. I shifted it all the way to the left rear and the left front and still had music playing out of my rights, just not as loudly obviously, but still very quietly playing on the lefts. I do know that all these issues started shortly after I got done with doing my body lift, in which I had to pull my subwoofer box out, which has both my amps bolted on it. I'm racking my brain as to wtf is going on but I just have no clue :/

Well, this doesn't surprise me at all, but I moved the two front speakers to my Left Front speaker connection on my amp and did the same with the two rears to my Right Rear speaker connection, and guess what happened? All four speakers are working... So, a Phoenix Gold amp that is less than 3 months brand new, has blown both left channels (wtf) so I'm going to contact the guy I bought it from and demand this get rectified either by reimbursement or a new amp. Sorry to have troubled everyone with the issue. Amazing how some things just crap out for no reason, yeah?

Do you have any extra RCA cables you can temporarily check things with?

I don't think that I have any extras. However, If I'm understanding this correctly, it can't be an issue of the RCA cables due to it being one side that is malfunctioning, not the Front or Rear. Unless I'm misunderstanding exactly what RCA cables do, as well as what their jack designations stand for...

Also, I just received an e-mail from TheDeepDiscount.com (where I bought the amp) and it's still covered under warranty, so hopefully I can get this issue resolved with them, only at the cost of shipping and being without music for a week :(

Flip flop the left/right RCA's at the amp and see if the quiet goes to the other side. I'm trying to rule out a simple set of faulty cables. I have had more bad RCA's brand new than I care to count (and this includes really expensive Kimber, Monster, Tiff, and Nakamichi cables).

Damn dude I feel bad for ya lol, 2 amps now!!?? Well at least this ones still under warranty,

think of it like this, you'll be pushin everything with 2 brand new amps :D
haha

did you get the HF amp yet?
