Hi guys,

Just completed my TT+Shackle lift and got new General Grabber AT2's

My question is,

is it a valid measurement to compare the front to the back when measuring from ground to center of wheel well?

To me the front looks a little higher than the back....but is what I'm shooting for an equal measurement from all four wheel wells to the ground?

ST's have about a 2" forward rake. With stock 255/70-16 (30.1") tires for 4:10 gearing, ground to fender stock height should be approximately 34.5" front and 36.5" rear, plus or minus up to 1/2" side-to-side. Add or subtract 1/2" for every full inch of tire diameter difference.

Is the front is "settled" after your TT? Usually takes some driving miles, and finding large speed bumps can speed up the process. Adjusting the front has an effect on the opposite rear corner height. Front right lower = rear left higher. Lot's of trial and error involved to get the right balance and appearance to your preference. Remember to get the alignment checked, toe and camber changes when adjusting ride height and camber kits may be needed to get it dialed in correctly.

Thanks swshawaii!

Yea I think it's settled, I drove it to work for 2 days...I think the thing is sitting about level, or just a tab higher in the front. I will measure tonight and maybe shoot for a 1in front rake...

haven't got the alignment yet, waiting to sort out ride height

Don't take too long waiting for that alignment, it's easy for other projects to get in the way and forget about it . . .

Firestone will do a life-time front wheel alignment for slightly more than the cost of two alignments. Get it done now and again in a month after it might have settled more or you hit a pothole a little too hard!

I don't work for them, I don't even buy tires from them. I have life-time alignments for both my Mounty and my Ex, I go in a couple of times each year even if I've just been on good pavement.

When I got my Mounty the previous owner had the front end sitting about 4" higher than the rear, with tiny 235/75-15 tires it looked comical. I told Firestone upfront that I was going to be in several times as I dropped the front down to the level I wanted and they still had no problem selling me the life-time!
