so since im not very mchanicaly inclined(barely able to finish a body lift alone) i've been trying to convince my friend who is a mechanic to do a lift for me and he has finaly gave in and is willing to do it for a couple hundred bucks. now that i have someone to do the install for me i need to go out an actually buy the parts( tax return is burning a whole in my pocket) but im not sure what kit i should get. im not looking for something that can withstand hardcore whealing because i mainly just drive on unkept roads so im not rock crawling or climbing mountains or anything. so i was wondering what kit would be the best for me to get 4 inchs of lift infront to get close to matching the soa thats getting done(i will most likely get some coil spacers to) so any links to sites with prices or just any suggestions would be good, i would like to order the parts today so i can have the truck ready to go for camping on may long weekend in a couple or 3 weeks.

I did a 4" Rough Country in the front, SOA in the rear.

Only ran me $365 but I got it without shocks. The common consensus is their shocks are crap so get decent ones elsewhere. My shocks were about $40 apiece and then I had $13 in spring perches, $43 in extended brake lines for the front and $200 in an alignment.

That comes up to $781. I know that sounds like a lot (cause it is lol) but that's as cheap as you're going to be able to get away with, unless you can find a used kit somewhere. Even then you still have to deal with getting new shocks, brakelines, and the alignment. Those are things that need done now and then anyway (unlifted) so you need to just consider it as necessary maintenance.

I did the 4" Rough County and SOA and didn't worry about coil spring spacers or new seats and I ride fine; not too much rake. Hope this helps.

Soa will give about 5.5 of lift.what size of tires do you plan on running?
