Hey guys,
After lots of skinned knuckles and cursing, Hank, dbarale and I are just about done with the lift. Wil be complete tonight.
Problems encountered: 1000lbs of rust, rusted bolts, rusted rivets, rusted shackles - did I mention rust? Prep your rig well before attempting this.
Shackles were bendable by hand - time to replace. However, when I measured the truck in the garage, I didn't take into account a shackle lift in the rear - will it get out? You decide. Keep in mind, the drums are on the ground.

BTW - don't buy warrior shackles. $15 for shackles and $2 for 1/2" ID galvanized pipe does the same thing....

My truck goes in and out of the garage with a few inches to spare all the time.
