Ok guys we finished my rock sliders yesterday. All thats left is the install. I'm going to have to remove the gas tank to get the rear drivers side on installed. What a pain in the ass
. These things are bullet proof, overkill if you will. But anyone that has seen my Explorer wouldn't expect anyless
. They are made if 4"x2"x3/16" steel tube. Heavy duty, seriously its hard for me to pick one up by my self. I'll get the pics up in the morning. They stick out 4" from my body enough for a step to reach the roof and also enough to keep the body away form tight squeezes between rocks. I also decided to junk the regular james duff radius arm setup and go with hyme joints inplace of polyurethane bushings. With a 6" stupid lift and the james duff arms the wheel travel just isn't where I what it to be. I have the whole front end torn apart so I'm not 100% sure its going to work right but according to my calculations this set up should really help my front travel and if not it still looks cool.
Anyway my DSL has been down for like 3 days so I just wanted to post a little update on my Explorer. Peace Robbie
