i am getting a 3 in body lift for my 2wd 2001 st 5 speed. is there any other way i can get about another 1in or so *WITHOUT* doing a tt (tosion twist aka turning the torsoin bars up) and *WITHOUT* putting the shackle lift on it?? is there anything else that will lift it roughly 1 in??? and my last question sense i am getting the 3 in body lift i am going to try and run 33's if i cant im going to run 32's or whatever size will fit properlly. BUT i was thinking sense im not lifting it hugely there still might be a lil bit of rubbin when i turn thr wheel. so what about a wheel spacer or tire spacer or whatever its called ??? i have seen many people talk about them but idk where to start or how big small or whatever. i ONLY want to get one JUST ENOUGH so i can FULLY turn my wheels without rubbin.

First off the only way you'll get another inch up front is to do a small tt. Honestly I think an inch is so little it wont be as bad as the 2" most of us 4x4 guys do. You could do an add a leaf in the back if you don't want shackles. That gets you ~1.5-2".
Ive never been a fan of spacers. I prefer the wheel adapter style that start at 1" thick I think. The difference is that they entirely cover the lugs on the truck and then have lugs pressed into them to mount the wheels to so you don't lose any thread length and run the risk of a lugnut falling off. Only problem with spacers/adapters is that by pushing the tire out you won't rub on the inside but you might rub on the bottom plastic pieces. Its easy to take care of that by trimming a little bit of plastic and you can't even tell any was trimmed.
I think you'll be able to fit 33s with just a 3" BL since my friend has 33s with just the 2" tt and shackles. Hope this helps and GL!

thank you for your input. and would i leaf spring make it ride the same as if i did a shackle lift?

No. An add a leaf stiffens the ride a little bit over stock but not too much. It does help to control body roll while cornering though which is a plus. Try sending a PM to a guy named Offtrac. He has the same setup as me except he installed the AAL after having shackles for a while. He'd be a good person to ask about the AAL benefits and ride quality.

okay thank you yeah i know the usuall " lifted guys clique" camt ever remeber all their names that usually answers all my answers about all this sense im lifting it for christmas but thank you alot

Yeah man no problem, it's what the forums for. Sounds like a great Christmas present haha.

So what's the solution for a 33" rubbing against the front sway bar while turning? (Aside from going to 10.5 instead of the wider 12.5?)

Extra back spacing on the wheel. So adding a spacer or adapter. I don't know anyone off the top of my head running the .5" spacers but I've heard of some people doing it. As I said earlier I prefer the hub centric adapters that cover the OEM lugs entirely and have their own threads.

It really depends on what size wheel with backspacing you'll be using that will determine if you get rub on the swaybar at full lock. With my 15x8's with 4" bs I can see the rub marks on the swaybar but I've never felt it and my DuraTracs have sidewall cleats that would make noise if it were bad enough to worry about. Besides you're only gonna be at full lock at crawling speeds when making really tight turns unless you plan on drifting your truck. Lol

I thought he was saying he has rub with his current tires. Mine only rub at full lock on the trails I never really have that problem on the street.
