Well I had planned for my 1st gen XLT the typical 2 inch lift with the F150 Spacers and the Warrior Shackles....

However, I just got the JCWhitney catalog and I was looking at lifts and saw High-Lift Froont Coil Springs for the 90-94 4WD Explorer that give 4" of lift for 166$. If I got this I was wondering what I could use to lift the back? would a Spring Over Axle do it? I was just curious because I had never seen front High lift coil springs for 4" sold for a first gen explorer. Any information on this stuff would be wonderful, thanks.

Don't know anything about the JC Whitney springs. But the SOA gives you 5.5-6 inches in the rear.

With 4" lift coils, you are going to need a lot of other things (lift brackets, drop radius arm brackets, pitman arm, ect). To go 4", you will need a complete kit, not just coils.

The one good thing about the coil spacer lift is that it is just bolt-on, nothing else needed.

If I bought these 4 inch High Lift Coils could you give me a run down of parts need and if I added the Spacer to that would it even out with the Spring over axle. Also how much cost am I looking at..........thanks

I am almost deadset on the Warrior Shackles and Spacers, but I am just curious of what this option has to offer or what is all included.

well i would suggest buying jstu a complete kit....

becuase if you buy these brackets all sepereate, you usily have No instructions, no bolts, nuts, washers, or any of the hardware, also soem of the brackets might have craks, or form cracks faster... Super lift is not the Best lift kit, but i have seen it on the net for around 550$....

That would include, 5.5" springs, all the brackets, steering pitman arm, and drop downs for the r/a's, and all bolts, nuts, and instructions....

PEACE

EDIT : heres the website, standard kit(not superrunner stuff) is 582$

Well, next plan then.............Shackles vs. AAL? And of course F150 spacers up front.
