Just wondering if lifted explorers are considered rare. I bring this topic up because the city I live in has a population of 40000 and I have only seen 2 noticably lifted explorers in the past year or so. To get to my question, do explorers get lifted less(percentage wise) that other SUVs and trucks?

Thanks,
Ryan

I have only seen one lifted Explorer ever in my area. Although, I know there are more since there are members here who own, or have owned, lifted ones in my town. I have seen quite a few lifted Rangers. Most of the lifted trucks in my area are Pick-ups, very few SUVs.

Yeah I think it is rare. Seeing explorers are like seeing clouds in the sky. When Im driving, Ive challenged myself to go 30 seconds without seeing an explorer and I usually see about three for every mile I drive. But lifted? Nah, theyre rare.

im my little area of san antonio there are three lifted explorersa 4" a 2" and mine (only concedered lifted cause i have the biggest tres on a stock ex. so i think they are rare and they are everywhere newer ones of course they're like four on my street

What city in NM are you talking about? I live in Albuquerque and I have seen at least 10 different lifted explorers around town. If you are ever up for a wheelin' trip in NM give me an email or pm and I can get the group here in ABQ to go.

lifted? whats that..? heh i dont ever see any..

I've seen one with TT/Shackles and 31's. Taxxman is around but I've never seen him on the road. :D

Ive seen one or possibly two on the roads around here. Pretty nice looking too, but I only saw it once, and I couldnt get a super great look. I wish I could have given it a better looksie... Oh well...

Not in my driveway they aren't. :D

Ive never seen another lifted explorer out on the road. i think if i did id go chase them down. :)

i see a lot of lifted explorers..... even ones that arent on our site... on my way home from thaven last year? i saw a blue sport with 35s on a trailer that i passed.... explorers are all over the place here.... a lot fewer lifted than not, but still a lot....

There is one 91 in my town that is lifted with 33's and another I have seen at a wharehouse, but I don't know where either of them actually live...

I have seen only one a 92 sport owned by a co-worker. 5" Skyjacker unfortunately it tipped on its side in the ice and twisted the b ody. I guess that Chad in Anchorage has one but I haven't seen him. Mine soon to be lifted!!

Rare - Lifted Explorer's. Rarer - Lifted Explorer's that you can tell are used for off-roading. When I lived in Boulder, I saw two other lifted explorer's in town and had the chance to look at both up close... No body damage, still had all swaybars, spotless all over. Course, I lived near littleton and denver, so there were lifted Explorer's runnin around there but we usually didn't see each other. Down here in Texas I've only seen one. It's a 2001 Sport with about a 2 inch lift and 32's, but again, spotless. Mine's the only one I've seen lifted and banged up all over other than when I hang out or wheel with people from this site.

I've seen I think 4 here in Mesa, Az.

Just yesterday I was by the Post Office and was in a Neighborhood off of Lindsay/University, and saw an EX with what appeared maybe shackles/TT and like 31's. In a driveway, and it had "Serious Explorations" on the back glass. Have no idea who it is, I guess I'll have to pay them a visit, and introduce myself.

HEHE. Most of the ones I see look all purty too. ANd 50% of mine are lifted.

Not that mine doesn't from a distance. But there are atleast 2 or 3 others here in town I have seen. And I did see one not from here wheeling not too long ago. :p
