Liftgate window question

I’m a new member here I have an early 02 explorer xlt I was looking to find out if a liftgate window from any other years will fit they look the same but keep getting told only from a an early 02 up to the 3rd month of 02 will work

IDK but welcome to the forum and Merry Christmas!

I would take a real good look at it, maybe put pics on your phone, and then look at '02 to '05 Explorers (all 3rd gen)(and Mountaineers, same year span??) in a junkyard to see if they look the same.

Is yours shattered or just the hinges bad? If not shattered, might take it with me to the junkyard, OR take the vehicle on a rain/snow-free day and ask that you be able to check fitment before purchase.
