I want to do the 3" body lift on my explorer. Does anyone know of any good offroad shops in the New York area? About how much would the labor for this cost? Thanks. Marc

Do not knowabout cost in the NY area, but four of us and 30 pac, started to lift an "X" and two hours later we were on the trails.
So I would think one guy at a good shop shouldn't take more than four hours to do the install.

Good Luck,

The Truck Shop on Long Island is a good place. They practically specialize in lifting trucks and do really quality work too.

Thanks guys
Ryan-know if they got a website? Where ont he Island?

They don't have a site and they are in Oakdale. I have their phone number if you want it.

There's also a place in Island Park... deff closer than oakdale... i know the one in Island Park they are pretty serious about lifting.. they got machines to see how much till it tips over and stuff... i have never been there personally but I know Caddybill has... send him a PM, im sure he would be more then happy to answer your questions as best as he could.

I've been there but I don't have a name or an adress. Sorry:(

thanks everyone, I'll get the numbers from the phone book. Anyone know what I would get charged to install a 3" body lift?

hmm, not bad, at least considering the hours of labor i would end up spending if I would ATTEMPT to do it myself

ah, i just checked out your ex, and i saw it was a newer model, so it will probably be a little bit more for you. But i don't really know.

there's an offroad shop in elma, near buffalo
