Hello all, I want to install some shocks on my Explorer that will raise it up some. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Shocks don't hold vehicle weight, they are simply for dampening and stability. Therefore there is no such thing as a lifting shock. Do a search for torsion twist if you're looking for a couple of inches.

Well unless you are talking about air shocks...please give us more info.

the limited came with lifting(air) shocks.you can get some bags for lifting, but you need to run all the wires by yourselfe and is not very reliable idea.

if you need some good and cheap lift go with torsion twist for the front and shackles at the rear for about 2 inch lift.

That sounds like what I'm looking for. Can you point me in the right direction on where I can order some?

i'm not very familiar with air shocks.when you get into that project you will need to make sure that brake lines are long enough etc.

how much lift you want to gain with the air shocks?
