2006 Explorer XLT
Before I get flamed,I went through the search button and tried like heck to get a solid answer but ended up here in a new thread post anyhow.

I have a 2k6 XLT with stock wheel size running 235/70r16. Over the weekend I put in a complete Rancho Quicklift Loaded kit and wanted some advice on what the biggest/widest tire size I can go up to that will fill in that fender well in some more, with no rubbing issues before I pull the trigger and order some. I would like to keep the stock wheel in the meantime so any combination of parts needed would also be appreciated. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look at some of the 4th Gen pictures. A lot of them say what size lift and tire they have. I wouldn't recommend anything over a 31x10.50 and even that might be a bit much without having to trim a little in the front. The stock tire is around 29 inches tall if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the reply. I will take your advice and go through those pics. I was on the fence on ordering some 265/75r16's but wanted to make sure they would work on my stock wheel.

Before I lifted my 08 I had I think 245/75R16's but that's barely over stock. It sucks to guess I know. I have 5.5 inches of lift and 33x12.50R22 M/T and really would have been better with a 35x10.5 but I like the wide tire look so it's OK. Shorter and wider or taller and skinnier is the safest route. If you don't mind a little trimming at most, that size tire should be OK. I looked and looked at pictures and compared lift and tire sizes before I did mine. Your stock wheel will help you also. I have 22s and my nephew has stock wheels, he has better clearance even though we both have 33 inch M/T's.

Running 255/75r17. Rubbing at full lock but nothing major. I also have traxda lift. So nothing over 265/70. Happy hunting!

Are you running the stock rim with the Traxda lift? I have an 2k10 Eddie Bauer edition and was wanting to go with the same lift but my truck has 18" wheels so I'm trying to figure out wheel combos....

Yeah, stock rims for now. 18s should be okay too
