I've got a 2000 XLT AWD w/ 3:55 gears. I took my front driveshaft off earlier only to realize it's open, not limited slip like I thought. My question is how do I figure out what spline axles I have and how much would it could to get a limited slip put in? - Beau

31 spline. Pay for my plane ticket, I'll put them in.

No, I can do it myself, just not enough time. Workin 50+ hours a week, school and a girlfriend don't leave much free time.

My truck can only do SO much for me ;) :D

your truck runs 9psi, the average human mouth can only go up to like 5psi. If you hook it up right the truck can ;)

Got another question. After searching more, I saw that if you were open and not LS, then you can only use certain LS/Lockers. How do you know? I'm leaning towards the Auburn or the FMS one.

when you have an open you can either get a lunchbox locker to go inside your current carrier or buy a whole new locked carrier. some have a C-clip emilinator kit. Now if yu have a LS your only option is a full carrier

How much is a whole new locked carrier and what's involved?

An LS is it's own carrier, and will replace your open carrier. If you go with an LS, go with an Auburn over a stock TracLok. I've had both. :D

My Ford Racing LSD is doing quiet well. I am very impressed with it. It was the whole carrier and everything.
