Linked pics in registry disappear

Hi all:

If I've posted this in the wrong forum, I apologize. And, yes, I did a search first.

I've been here a while, but only recently set up a registry page (see signature). I finally figured out how to link a picture, but something wierd is going on. When I set up the link, it works fine. When I come back later to look at it, the picture link no longer works. I can edit the post and re-paste the link to where it's hosted (webshots, if that matters), and it reappears correctly, even though there was no change to the syntax of the link. I've repeated this a couple of times, but when I check back, the link is broken again. What is going on?

its probably the web hosting company or something..

It's the image hosting company. A lot of the free/cheap image hosting companies don't like you "hotlinking" images, so they block it.

Either that, or you've exhaused your bandwidth allotment for the day.

Check with your ISP - they might provide web/ftp space for you, and that might be a better idea.

I know my ISP gives me 10MB of space. I just have to figure out how to use it.
