1) i have a bang when I turn hard due to bad body mounts in back...actually a BANG

2) slight timing chain rattle

3) My radio makes noise when I drive...lots of it :)

4) tried removing sunshade...couldnt get it out and then LOST clip. so it rattles sometimes

5) front suspension: FIXED no more wham bang rattles

6) a/c fans cycles a lot...need freon

7) drivers window rattles when it goes down...must be loose but still works

8) jack is not tight in back compartment...rattles...diagnosis: I am lazy

Mine doesn't make a whole lot of bad noises (knock on wood).

The steering can be loud sometimes, but almost all Ford's are like that.
The front used to screech embarrassingly loud when going over even the slightest bump...got the balljoints replaced and solved that (for now at least).
Sometimes the jack in the back rattles when going over bumps; an adjustment every now and again usually takes care of it.
My speaker on the driver's side cuts in and out, and sometimes has a static noise coming from it. I think there's something with the wiring, because I got all the speakers replaced, hoping it'd solve that. Also, the passenger side speaker rattles when the music is up really loud, but I think there's something loose in the door panel.
Oh and the brakes groan sometimes if I gradually let off when at a complete stop, but I don't think that's unusual.

Other than that, it's all good.

97 explorer 4.0 OHV

my explorer has a hum when driving at lower speeds but less noticible after 45 mph, just started recently when i cut a sharp left the noise goes away for a second then comes back im not sure what it could be. a wheel bearing? a half shaft? any ideas?:(

Woop Woop Woop Woop noise. Pinion bearings.

My 2011 Limted Explorer makes no bad noises. In fact when idling it sounds like a big smooth cat purring. No rattles, no clunks, only the sound of a tight and smooth vehicle.

Mine went bang bang bang, then exploded :(

I'm lucky. No odd noises coming from the truck. I just get an occasional rattle from the jack in the left rear quarter panel storage area.

Sounds

My Explorer has a small groan from the steering wheel every slight left, the occasional bang from what I am guessing are worn bushings on the radius arms. And the violent clicking of a sticking valve until it warms up. Oh, and the common rubber snagging the rear window glass as it goes down sound.

My ranger has a new tinny clattering from underneath after every gear change. And the sputtering sound of it suffocating in this Texas heat.

97 sport: has its fair share of minor noises: Occasional timing chain rattle(solved by running synthetic oil), clunking up front(probably sway bar), front shocks creak, rear leaf spring shackle squeaks(i put the washer on the wrong side, easy fix), clunk when I let off the brakes(probably drive shaft slip yoke). The transmission also has an interesting hum in 1st gear. Good thing is I know how to fix the problems, now to stop being lazy!

My '04 Explorer sometimes makes a funny "duck" sound when I move in the drivers seat, followed by an annoying smell in the passenger compartment...

where to start..? Well there aren't many creaks, but the trunk squeaks when on a dirt road, the exhaust hanger that holds the exit pipe on chirps when its idling due to the hanger being an old wire clothes hanger. that's the only creaks. It had never been on a dirt road period until i got it three years ago and it only goes down one now (city car). Now to the engine..... It hisses from some where on the left side of the engine, the valves rattle like crazy, and best noise of all: http://www.flickr.com/photos/64571718@N04/6723301673/in/photostream

My sounds seem to be a problem... I have terriable valve rattle spring squeak thud between reverse and drive pissed off power steering pump and now when I cut it off my cooling system goes thud thus thud thud for a good 2 min I need help with mine valve rattle is not good

01 Explorer sport.
