Little heat in my truck.

1997 ford ranger 2.3L. I used to have super warm heat in my truck. It slowly got weaker and weaker over time and now its really weak from the main vents. I recently replaced the thermostat because it was stuck open and the heat still is not as warm as it used to be. All of my heat is coming out of the defrosters and when i turn the control knob nothing really changes it still blows the same out of the defrosters but it seems to be really warm from the defrosters.It seems like something is blocking the other vents or something isn't opening to let the heat into the other vents.If it's the blend doorlinkage how can i get to it?

I believe the blend door controls only hot to cold. check you cables going to the heater box one might have come loose and it is not switching from the defroster to the vents.

Welcome to this forum! It's a vacuum related problem. The hard plastic tubing breaks at the point where it meets the servo pistons.

heat is working great now!!!

it was a vaccum hose just couldnt see it at first it was disconnected thank you!!!
