ok. i have a little problem. i need some expert advice/opinions with it. my rig is older, has over 125,000 miles, etc. i have noticed a little noise coming from under the hood during acceleration usually from a stop. its kind of like a pinging noise or a high pitched knocking. it only happens sometimes though. anyways, last night while pulling away from a red light, it happened, and I was looking out my rear view window. when the noise happened, a HUGE bellow of blue/gray smoke came out of my pipe. it was so thick that the car behind me tried to drive around it. I am kind of freaked out because I have never seen the smoke like that before. is it just silly to ask for someone to tell me what it might be? I dont have time to drop it in some shop and have it looked at, I just want to know if I need to stop driving it or how to try to figure out what it is or something. HELP!

Thanks,

Jake

Check your transmission fluid level, the modulator may be leaking causing the engine to burn trans. fluid through the vacuum line. And before anybody else gets the chance to get to you, be a little more specific in the topic of your post...

that makes sense. in know that the vacuum line for the trans is acting up. how terrible is it to drive with this happening?

I have seen it get so bad that it will actually hydro-lock the engine.
