I ordered bfgoodrich all terrain ta ko and they told me to b carefull cause the tire has load probleams with the ex's. something like the sidewalls blow out, but if i run the correct pressures i will b alright. iu would like to know what would be a good pressure rating on these tires so they dont blow out. or what ever this BS is that they r giving me,. I like these tires and heard good things about them and i did order them. but i just dont wanna regret it by blowing one out. any info on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanx.

i have never heard anything like that but if you keep them between 30-40 psi then you should have no problems

where did you get the tires at?

They are feeding you BS because of the Firestone controversy.

Your chances of them blowing out are very unlikely because of the ply ratings on them. They are quite beefy compared to other tires.

I run mine at 40 psi, which is what the store I bought them from told me was the norm they tell people.

I have had bfg a/ts on mine for years, and have never had any problems. i have generally kept them at about 34 psi, and have never gone below 30.

BS. Why would they be perfectly fine on a 5500-6000lb. Xcab truck but would "blow out" on a 4400lb. Explorer due to overload issues?

Max PSI varies depending upon the size of the tire so check the sidewall for the MAX rating. BFG rates the A/T Ko's 30x9.5x15 @ 50psi while the 33x12.5x15 are only 35psi.

I have used these tires on three different trucks that I have owned and NEVER had a problem with them.. That shop is talking out there a** about them.. I have run them at 40 and I think as low as 25(around there anyways) with no problems.. Either way I dont have any clue why you should have any problems with them unless you do something stupid.

BF GOoodrich TA Ko

Thanxs for ur help. that eases me up quite a bit. By the way I bought the tires from The Tire Rack. They were the ones that told me that. So i told them that i had a 96 ranger same size and everything as my ex. and thats how i got em, otherwise the man told me he would not sell em to me cause of liability. BS

Aw, hell, thats your problem right there! They're very strict on selling tires to Explorer owners.

yep, thats where you went wrong. i told them i had a tacoma when i got tires off of them in the past. they won't sell you anything other than stock size for explorers. lame, but oh well.

I have the BFG's 31.10.50 on my 94 ranger ,and I was wondering wht tire preasure to run them for the best wear ....I rotate every month or so , I usually put about a thousand miles a week on this truck ...the tire sidewall is only the max.air preasure ...for the heaviest load.....I'm currently running them at 45psi and the truck with all my work gear and myself with a 1/2 tank of fuel is weighing in @ 4400 ....thanks
