:us:Where is the location of the fuel pump relayon my 95 with the 4.0? I know where the pump is located but my Haynes and Clymer manuals mention nothing of the location of the relay. Pump or relay overheating and shutting down, stalling my 95X. After a while (6+hours), things cool off enough to start and run for a while. Assuming it is a relay or the pump itself. Just can't find the relay.

Thanks for the help.

In the Power distribution box (on my 96, but should be the same) under the hood.

You can check for voltage at the inertia switch... if it ain't there when you have your problem, then it is likely the relay (which you can continue to look ... sorry i don't have access to my info).... IF there is voltage there, then you need to check your pump... try measuring resistance from that point (towards the pump) to see if your pump's resistance is any good... if its "open" then there is a chance that you have a broken wire along the way there also.
