Location of IAC in 2002 Explorer with V-8

Can someone tell me the location of the IAC in a third gen Ex with the 4.6L V-8? Is it easy to find and is it easy to clean? Is there a filter on it?

I havent looked at any of the expo 4.6L's but Id imagine it be on the throttle body housing, I might be wrong.

I went out and took a peek at mine and there's 2 things right by the TB - one on each side. I think one is the TPS and guessing the other is the IAC. On all the the cars I've worked on, those 2 sensors have been close to each other and on/next to the TB.

I circled what I THINK is the IAC. Can anyone verify? Or am I way off

What is circled is your TPS. Your X is TBW which means that the idle air control function is controlled by the TBW itself rather than a separate valve to maintain idle. the 02-03 4.6 X's had IAC valved because they had regular throttle cable TB's.

Here is where your IAC will be on your 02-03 4.6 X. Clean it with carb cleaner.
