Im wanting to lock the front and back up in my 93. I have the 8.8 in the rear and the stock Dana 35 in the front. My question is I want to put Detriot EZ Lockers in the front and back. What info do I need to know to order them like the splines and stuff?

The front is a 27 spline C-clip style. It uses the same as the D35 rear (Wrangler) c-clip.
The rear is a 31 spline C-clip style as well. All 8.8s are the same except for the spline count. Mustangs and Rangers had 29 splines. When you order the lockers just tell them what you have and the company will do the rest.

Well the company I was going to order from was www.4wheelparts.com and they had all that info on there that you had to choose from.

Alright scratch that last post. I want to go threw the front and back put 4:10 or 4:56 gears and detriot ez lockers front and back. So I know the info to order the lockers. But what all will I need to buy to install gears besides ring and pinion.

I can't remember the carrier brake's. Depending on your current gear ratio, you might have to change the carrier. I don't think the 8.8 has a brake but will have to look it up. If you have to change the carrier's them might as well put in a full locker for the same overall price have have twice the strength.

I dunno thats the first Ive ever heard of that. I dont know much about axles. Do yall think 4:56 ratio is good? Its my everyday driver and ive got 35s on it. I think my stock ratio is 3:73 how do I make sure though.

I have 4.56s with 35s and a 5 speed. I think it's a perfect ratio for everyday driving. If you have 3.73s you shouldn't need a new carrier for the front. Both diffs should have a tag on them that says the ratio and if the rear has a L/S or not. You can find the stock ratio from the VIN as well. Do a search on here to find that. Someone posted a thread on the VINs a while ago. Make sure you don't have the factory L/S in the rear as you'll need an open carrier to install the EZ locker. The 8.8 does not have a carrier brake, still looking for the D35.

OK, found it. 3.31/3.55 is the carrier break for the D35. As long as you have 3.55s or lower you'll be fine.

Not that it really matters but Mustangs and rangers have 28 spline 8.8's I believe.

Ditto on that. My stang has 28 splines :)
