Power Trax You really get what ya pay for in lockers and plus thats a major driving part of your rig.

I found the Powertrax for under $400 I think like $379 or something.

and isn't the Loc-right around $260?

I do have the option of switching guts with the wifes axle (sssshhh don't let her hear)

I ordered the ECTED electric locker by Auburn Gear, from www.4wheelers.com

Beat them up a bit on the shipping and the price & you can get it for $100.00 more that the PowerTrax No slip.

I’ve heard good things about it, & it’s a ls when it’s off. They say they are working on a front one as well, but lots of companies have promised that…

The No-Slip is a great unit as well & you don’t have to go to the open carrier.

Good luck, with whatever you get, it should be a blast!

I have heard really good things about thsoe I just wasn't sure if you were wanting to spend that much. I would say if you can get it past the wife go with the Ected.

Aren't they all about the same as far as what they do? My son has the lockright in his Ex and for me it's a little noisy on turns, I have the PT and find it a lot quieter

Powertrax No-slip
But you knew I'd say that right? :)

I also like the design of the Auburn ECTED, but I'll let someone else test it first.

I say Powertrax. I feel a lunchbox is okay for the front axle, but you want something stronger (less likely to break) in the rear axle.

Dannyboy toasted his 8.8 Quick-Lok at Truckhaven the other weekend.

Just to clear up some confusion- Powertrax is the same as lockrite...
Powertrax has 2 lockers: 1) Powertrax No-Slip 2)Powertrax Lockrite

The No-Slip is quieter but costs more than the lockrite. And they dont make a lockrite for the LS rear.

I got my Lockrite for $260 (thats including 3 day air shipping). The No-Slip was $400 +shipping off the same site.

I found the no slip at Tellico for $389.95 :D

locker

40 bux less than I paid,Hella deal, easy install

is that with or without shipping?

cause my lockrite was $240 + shipping ($13 UPS ground, $20 3 day air)

still saving almost $150... and i dont care if it makes a clicking sound around turns- hopefully someone will ask what that clicking sound is so i can tell them :D

no not including shipping, but I just take it to 4WP get them to match price and then come up with a copon of some sort that they always have. :D

The other issue is I have to switch to a open diffy. ..and wife really dosn't want me messin with her truck. But hey it has 31's on it :p so if i can get that one past i could probally to the diff...I'll just say I'm changeing the fluid....in both....at the same time  ...and yes honey I have to take it all apart to make sure is lubed real good! :D

the sime place is $292.95 for the lock right  where did you get for $240?

Just go with the no-slip. You'll be happier with it on the road and you won't have to swap carriers between vehicles and hope that the gears are still setup ok.

2)Powertrax Lockrite

So skyler is this the only option for the l/s rear end? I'm one beer short of a six pack when it comes to lockers and rearends(xploder rearends)

What does it cost to get one installed? I don't have the capabilities to do my own install. But for $260 for a locker, I'm thinking that I could get one sooner than later.

No- powertrax has a locker for the LS... its the No-Slip locker.

lol maybe i worded it wrong...
Powertrax makes two lockers- one is called the no-slip, the other is called the lockrite. the no-slip can be put in an LS rear but costs $150 more than the lockrite.

Labor costs to put them in... not a clue. chris is doing mine (well i am- but he's guiding me) :D
