I took my rear driveshaft off recently and now the bolts won't stay tight. Was there loctite on them stock??

might have been....

it is subject to high vibration, why was it off in the first place?

Changed my clutch & slave cylinder.

I can tell when the bolts loosen cause it will vibrate really bad when starting from a dead stop.

It won't hurt to put it on there. When I did my it was a bear to get them to break loose. I suspected there was lock-tite on there so I put some back on.

Put the blue loctite on those bolts and you'll be ok.

We swapped out to aluminum driveshafts on our mustangs all the time. It was mandatory procedure to use red locktite on those bolts. You definitely don't want those coming loose!

I would only use red loctite if you don't want to remove the bolts for a long long time if ever. Use blue loctite if you think you may want to or need to remove the bolts for some reason. I find myself needing to remove the u-joints once a year so I use blue.

i used lock washers and has worked great so far - and theyre still easy to remove if u need to
