It's time to buy a research vehicle, and I think I have narrowed it down to a 99-01 Explorer. I would like it to be part time 4wd, but the only requirment is that it is NOT full time 4wd or full time AWD. We only have a 2wd dyno, so I'll need to turn the front wheels off at times.
Do you guys have any tips on what to look for, and which model packages have the most goodies. It will be a 4.0L SOHC and an automatic transmission. I don't care how many miles, and if it has mechanical problems that's cool too. I just don't want to pay top dollar because it's going to make good power and have a rough life of constant testing
any input appreciated.
