- Red 98 Eddie Bauer V8 2WD
Hey everyone! For nearly two years now I have been searching for a 2nd Gen Ford Explorer. Over that period of time, I viewed hundreds of different examples- some with low miles in mint condition, and others that were barely good for parts. However, I was never able to find an Explorer with the options that I was looking for that was still available, or that I felt comfortable purchasing due to the condition, price, or location of the car.
That is, until this past weekend.
When I first spotted the Red 1998 Eddie Bauer on Craigslist, I could tell that it needed some work (as to be expected with most 18 year old cars), but I saw great potential in it. It looked to be in good overall condition, with low miles (156k), good leather seats, and a straight, clean body. It was priced very well due to some repairs that it needed (and I was able to get the price down further due to some other issues that I found), but I felt that all of the work was doable, and that the end result would make it all worthwhile.
And thus, I finally got my Explorer!

I will be asking questions and making updates on the work done to the car, and appreciate all of the responses and feedback in advance.
