The only thing I have done is update the navigation DVD
We (wife and I) had ourhearts set on an Aviator but couldnt find one to our likibg. Now I am tasked with making this already well equipped Mountaineer just a bit nicer.
We paid it off in February and now have 114,000 miles on it.
Plan on adding/modding in no particular order
One touch up and down window controls for the driver- I have this in my Lincoln LS and she would love to have it too
Toying with the navi system: either upgrading outright to a nice Pioneer system or adding/lockpicking the things we want (Rear DVD system for kiddos, Sirius, rear camera) We are happy with the speaker setup as is, so we won't be looking for ear candy as much
A nice dual exhaust setup for this grizzly V6. The V8 in hindsight is more appealing, but money talked back then lol.
Looking into custo-retrofitting HID projectors.
Replacing all available lights with LEDs (turn signals, side markers, interior etc.
Doing driveability mods to improve ride/handling/mileage(We wont be Mountaineering, so this will be pavement mods only)
And keeping things as close to factory looking as possible.
Any points in the directions I am going are welcome. I am happy to find people modding the heck out if Explorers, and hope to join the seemingly rarer Mounty owner/modders.
